Parish church of Sant Martí

The parish church of Sant Martí is a Historicist style temple designed by the architect Claudi Duran Ventosa and was built between 1902 and 1909, as well as the Town Hall, between the two districts that during the 19th century had been forming along the two main communication routes of the municipality.

The marquises of Cerdanyola and other illustrious vacationers contributed financially in the construction of the temple, which replaced the church of the 17th century that had remained outside the urban core. Inside the church, in the presbytery, stand out two large mosaics by Lluís Bru Salells that represent two miracles of Saint Martin. Next to the church rises the rectory, a modernist style building designed by the architect Eduard Maria Balcells in 1908.

The exterior decoration is unfinished. In the parish casal, a small exhibition allows you to discover the history of the parish of Sant Martí and the two buildings.
