Masia of Can n'Altimira

Ca n'Altimira is a Neoclassic style building built at the end of the 19th century that originally formed part of an old masia formed by several buildings that have already disappeared. During the first half of the 19th century it was integrated into the Baix district of the nascent village of Cerdanyola and in its era the vacationers celebrated their biggest party there on St. James’ Day.

In the 80's, the building underwent an important renovation to host the municipal library, which took the name of the masia. In the vestibule, a small museum explained the history of this house and its role in the development of the town of Cerdanyola. In 2015 the library of Cerdanyola was inaugurated. Today, this space is closed to the public and its use is to be determined.
